Erin joined Jefferson Veterinary Hospital as our Office Manager in June 2016. Originally from Pennsylvania, Erin has lived in Frederick, MD for over 20 years. She has three boys and two mischievous feline sisters, Roxy and Tessa.
In her spare time Erin loves to travel, spend time with family and friends and check out local/regional events in Frederick County MD, Maryland and Northern Virginia. Erin is enjoying getting to know the clients and staff. She is anxious to introduce everyone to our new veterinary hospital!
Joyce has been the receptionist at Jefferson Veterinary Hospital since 1988. She has a dog named Munchkin, who you may see filed away in the reception behind Joyce when you check in or out. She enjoys working with the clients and their pets.
Malinda joined Jefferson Veterinary Hospital in August 2014 and has worked in the veterinary field since 1989. She enjoys talking to and assisting our clients at the front desk. Malinda is a Fredericktonian and has lived in Jefferson for 20 years with her husband Keith and daughter Keirstin. She also shares her home with a sweet Pomeranian, Jimmy, and two cats, Tansy and Cinnamon. In her spare time she volunteers with the Animal Welfare League as a kitten mom and is an avid gardener in her yard which is wildlife certified. She also enjoys going to the gym, antiquing and decorating her home.
Nancy joined Jefferson Veterinary Hospital in April 2016. She enjoys greeting the clients and their pets and learning many aspects of the veterinary business. She was an elementary substitute teacher for many years in Frederick County, MD. While she enjoyed her years with her two-legged friends, she decided to pursue a job that would allow her to be in the business with her four-legged animal friends. Nancy grew up in Ohio and attended Kent State University but has lived in Frederick, MD for over twenty years. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, bicycling, camping and attending her girls’ softball games and marching band events. She lives in Frederick MD with her husband Fred, two daughters Meg and Jessie and their two dogs, four cats, rabbit and guinea pig.
Rebecca is a Frederick county native, who grew up on a farm in Brunswick MD. She actively participated in 4-h growing up, showing sheep in the Frederick Fair alongside Dr. Ahalt. Rebecca has been a veterinary technician with Jefferson Veterinary Hospital since 1991.
Emily has been with Jefferson Veterinary Hospital since March of 1999. She is a lifelong resident of Jefferson and lives on her family’s dairy farm where they raise and milk registered Jerseys who they also show at the Frederick Fair each year. Emily is married to Brad and has three beautiful children, Noah, Lilah and Emmah. They have many pets including her dog Ginger, a mini potbelly pig Flower, three horses, chickens and three sheep.
Brandy graduated from Brunswick High School and has been with Jefferson Veterinary Hospital since 2003. As a teen, Brandy spent many years involved in 4-h raising and showing goats, and showing horses. Brandy lives in Jefferson, MD with her husband Joey and beautiful daughter, Aubrey. She enjoys playing with her three Jack Russell’s Terriers - Shylo, Milo and Jackson, and part lab Marley, who has a penchant for eating rocks that Dr. Ahalt then removes. She loves working with all the animals and getting to know everyone in the community.
Sam joined Jefferson Veterinary Hospital in October 2015. She is a graduate of Middletown High School and is currently enrolled in Penn Foster College, where she is working toward her veterinary technician license. She lives on a farm in Middletown, MD where she continues to fuel her passion for animals. She also pets sits and walks dogs in her free time and is very excited about her future working with animals
Valerie has been a veterinary assistant at Jefferson Veterinary Hospital since March 2012. She graduated from Frederick Community College's Veterinary Assistant Training program and has worked in a variety of animal care facilities, including a 24-hour emergency and referral hospital. Valerie has two german shepherds Gunny and Jayda and is also the proud owner of a cat named Jesse and five horses.
Chris was born and raised Brunswick, MD. He lived in Jefferson MD for a few years during breaks from college at California University of Pennsylvania. He has a degree in Earth Science, with a concentration in Broadcast Meteorology and holds the American Meteorological Society TV Seal Of Approval. Chris' previously worked as both a television and radio Meteorologist, which took him from Fort Myers, Florida to Southern Maryland. After nearly 10 years in this field, Chris made the difficult decision to leave television and radio behind and peruse a different career. He moved back home to Brunswick, MD and began a new career in the veterinary field. In his spare time Chris enjoys playing sports and spending time with his family and friends. Chris and his wife Mandy have two cats named Thunder and Storm. Chris loves all animals and treats every pet that walks into Jefferson Veterinary Hospital as if they are his own.
Catlin is a native of Frederick MD and attended high school at Frederick Christian Academy and Frederick Community College, where she obtained an Associate degrees in Art and General Studies.
At Jefferson Veterinary Hospital and Brunswick Animal Clinic, Catlin loves learning about each new patient visiting the practice. She loves the career in the veterinary field and plans to study to become a veterinary technician.
When she is not working at the veterinary hospital, her hobbies include photography, soccer and riding ATVs. Catlin has two Jack Russells, Lucy and Shaggy and one cat, Sasha.
Gabrielle is from Jefferson, MD, where she used to help out on her grandparents dairy farm. She has been around animals her entire life and participated in 4-H for many years. She is currently a Junior at Brunswick High School. In her spare time she likes to hang out with her friends and spend time with her family. She loves working with all the animals that come through the office.
