Valerie
Valerie has been a veterinary assistant at Jefferson Veterinary Hospital since March 2012. She graduated from Frederick Community College's Veterinary Assistant Training program and has worked in a variety of animal care facilities, including a 24-hour emergency and referral hospital. Valerie has two German Shepherds, Gunny and Jayda, and is also the proud owner of a cat named Jesse and five horses.
Gabrielle
Gabrielle is from Jefferson, MD, where she used to help out on her grandparents dairy farm. She has been around animals her entire life and participated in 4-H for many years. In her spare time she likes to hang out with her friends and spend time with her family. She loves working with all the animals that come through the office.
Desiree
Desiree is originally from Middletown, MD and currently lives in Myersville, MD. She joined Jefferson Veterinary Hospital in April 2020 and has been in the veterinary field for nine years. Desiree loves all aspects of her job, but her specific interests are reproduction, surgery and radiology.
Desiree has quite a menagerie of pets including five dogs including two beagles, two pit mixes and a toy poodle, a cat, chickens and ducks. Desiree and her husband Michael have two boys – Waylon and Briar. In her spare time Desiree enjoys making crafts, hanging out with friends and vacations.

Maggie
Maggie was born and raised in Frederick, MD. She interned with Jefferson Veterinary Hospital in 2019 and joined as a member of the staff in 2020. Maggie attends school during the day and works afterward. She enjoys taking part in the care and treatment of our client’s pets, helping families with their pets and spending time with animals.
Maggie has two huskies - Ruby and Sofy, and one Persian cat named Boo. When not at work, Maggie enjoys spending time with her family, the outdoors and photography.
Madison
Madison is from Frederick, MD. She joined Jefferson Veterinary Hospital in 2020. She has three dogs – two Shih-Tzus and one Shiba. Madison enjoys meeting new patients and their owners. In her spare time, she loves playing and cuddling with her dogs.
Erin
Erin was raised and currently resides in Taneytown, MD. For the past six years Erin has had her own dog walking/pet sitting business. She joined Jefferson Veterinary Hospital in the fall of 2021 as and intern and was later hired as a Veterinary Assistant.
Erin is pursuing her degree to become a Veterinary Technician through Penn Foster. She enjoys everything about veterinary medicine, but has special interests in surgery and oncology. In her spare time Erin loves to take dance classes, travel and spend time with her family and her Shih-poo Scruffy.
